The 13th edition of Indian premier league is all set to move to United Arab Emirates. The series will be played from September 19 to November 8.

Why UAE?

IPL governing council chairman Brijesh Patel said that the advantage of UAE hosting is that the chances of PILs and consequent disruption to the league won't be there.

UAE also doesn't have strict quarantine rules.Markets and malls are already opened and tourists are being welcomed.
Matches will be played across Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi.

Whats different?

The home and away concept will not apply to IPL2020.

Each franchise will create its own bio-secure bubble , allowing limited interaction.Similar bubble will be created for BCCI, broadcasters etc .
Each franchise is reportedly going to lose  20 crores if the tournament is played behind closed doors.
The country's cricket board GM Usmani said that they are considering allowing crowd.Stadiums must permit 50% capacity.
